Spartans Ready to Kick Off 2017 Season Against Bowling Green

• Michigan State kicks off its 121st season of football against Bowling Green on Saturday, Sept. 2 at noon in Spartan Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPNU. The Spartans are looking to win their 19th consecutive home opener and improve to 10-1 in season openers under 11th-year head coach Mark Dantonio.

• Michigan State’s streak of 18 straight wins in its home opener, which began in 1999 against Oregon, is the sixth-longest active streak in the country (Florida, 27; Wisconsin and Oklahoma State, 21; Illinois and Arizona State, 19; MSU, 18).
