While the action on the gridiron was clearly disappointing for Spartan fans this weekend, Sunday evening turned out just peachy.
Coach Mel Tucker received some good news as Conyers, GA native Kristian “Big Dooley” Phillips became the charter member of Michigan State’s 2022 recruiting class. Kris is listed as 6’5” and 335 lbs. and projects as an offensive guard. I believe the technical term for Phillips is that he is a “large individual.”
Phillips’ recruitment has been a bit under the radar at Salem High School, as he is currently unranked by 247 Sports and only lists offers from Arizona State and Delaware State.
