Bennie Fowler came up with arguably the biggest catch of the season for the Denver Broncos early Sunday evening in an AFC playoff game against Pittsburgh.
Quarterback Peyton Manning and the Broncos faced a third-and-12 at their own 33-yard line with 8:40 left, trailing the Steelers 13-12.
Denver, to that point, was just 1-of-12 on third down conversions, and Fowler had one catch for 4 yards.
But on this pivotal play, Fowler lined up in the slot and beat former Georgia cornerback Brandon Boykin on an in route, and then broke the tackle attempt of safety Will Allen to pick up another 13 yards.
