Spartans Fall to Ohio State in Big Ten Tournament

DETROIT - Ohio State broke a 3-3 tie with three third-period goals to defeat the Michigan State hockey team, 6-3, in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday at Joe Louis Arena. Senior Villiam Haag had a goal and assist and freshman Patrick Khodorenko had two assists to in the season-ending loss for the Spartans (7-24-4).

The Spartans trailed 2-0 early in the first before scoring three straight goals to take a 3-2 lead after 20 minutes. OSU tied the game with the only goal of the second period before David Gust scored twice in a span of 1:13 less than two minutes into the third period.
