MSU continues their mantra of win nine this off season and with three down and six to go they collected win three here in Indianapolis with a 66-62 battle royal over Purdue, garnering the Big Ten Tournament crown. MSU improved to 29-5 on the season and found out afterward that they were the #2 seed in the Midwest.
This game was a battle of two heavyweights. Early the MSU speed helped them push the ball to a 10 point lead at the half, but the Spartans simply ran out of gas in the second.
