Derrick Nix the former Spartan big man and fan favorite is getting a chance to fulfill his dream of playing in the NBA. “Nixer” played at MSU from 2010-2013 and is a former captain for the Spartans. The Detroit Pistons reported via their own website that they had brought in the former Spartan for a three day camp so they can evaluate his progress since leaving East Lansing.
