The festivities began when the doors opened at 8:30 p.m., allowing fans to get both the men and women's posters. The players and coaches of both teams were available for autographs, before the evening's programing started at 9:30 p.m. In front of a capacity crowd, that forced MSU police to close the Breslin doors, the program began with performances from the MSU Drumline, dance team and cheerleaders and the Spartan Marching Band.
The 2015-16 Michigan State women's basketball team was announced first. All 14 players entered to their own theme music before head coach Suzy Merchant's entrance.
