Spartan Basketball Star Aerial Powers Captures Gold As USA Stops Canada in World University Games

Aerial Powers scores 27 points as the U.S. finishes a perfect 6-0 record.

GWANGJU, South Korea – With her strongest offensive performance, Michigan State women’s basketball player Aerial Powers led the United States to a gold medal in the World University Games with a win over Canada, 82-63, on Monday

“It feels great, and I’m so excited,” said Powers. “I’m on cloud nine. I can’t stop smiling from ear-to-ear. I look at this thing and see all the hard work we put into it. Many don’t get the chance to say they played for the USA, and many don’t get to say they won a gold medal.
