EAST LANSING — Michigan State football landed a player from the NCAA transfer portal – and new coach Mel Tucker did not have to go far to find him.
Running back Connor Heyward announced on Twitter on Thursday night that he withdrew his name from the portal, after talking with Tucker and athletic director Bill Beekman, and plans to return to the Spartans.
“It has been a long process, but I know this is home in my heart,” Heyward wrote.
