A report late Wednesday night said former Michigan State center Brian Allen is the first NFL player to test positive for the coronavirus.
Allen is a member of the Los Angeles Rams and first tested positive for COVID-19 three weeks ago, according to Fox Football Now. Fox Sports reporter Jay Glazer said Allen is still dealing with the loss of taste and smell, but the Hinsdale, Illinois, native expects to be cleared next Thursday by doctors.
Allen started the first nine games last season for the Rams before suffering a season-ending knee injury in November.
