An arrest warrant has been issued for former Michigan State University women's gymnastics coach Kathie Klages after she was charged with lying to a peace officer.
The charges include a felony and a misdemeanor - the felony charge is punishable by up to four years in prison and up to $5,000 in fines, and the misdemeanor charge is punishable by up to two years in prison and up to $5,000 in fines.
A warrant was authorized by Magistrate Laura Millmore in 54A District Court, where a cash surety bond of $5,000 was set, according to a release from the Attorney General's office.
