There was a point in time when it looked like Rayshaun Benny was going to be a member of the Michigan State football program.
The four-star in-state defensive lineman was committed to Michigan State and Mel Tucker all the way until National Signing Day when he flipped to the Michigan Wolverines. It was a tough recruiting loss for the Spartans because it felt like Tucker was building recruiting momentum, but the flip was especially hurtful because it was Michigan.
Since then, Benny has shown that there's really no love for the Spartans anymore, declaring over the summer that the Wolverines were going to give the Spartans the belt.
