Pinstripe Bowl last chance for Michigan State football seniors to go out winners

NEW YORK — The post-practice hug line of coaches and players on the final session before a bowl game has been a tradition for Michigan State under Mark Dantonio.

In 12 of the past 13 seasons, the Spartans have made a postseason game. And when the seniors exited the field at Fordham University after a Christmas Day workout, with the Pinstripe Bowl their swan song two days away, things got emotional. Even for Dantonio.
