Columbus, Ohio — Mark Dantonio knew his team needed to be perfect on Saturday night.
No. 25 Michigan State faced a tall task entering Ohio Stadium against No. 4 Ohio State, a team that spent the first five games of the season running roughshod over its opponents.
And for one quarter, it looked like the Spartans were up to the task, limiting the Buckeyes to 16 total yards and three points despite two turnovers on Michigan State's first four plays.
However, by the time the first half ended, Ohio State had blitzed Michigan State, taking a 17-point lead into the locker room before shutting things down in the second half on the way to a 34-10 victory in front of 104,797.
