Nick Samac was still early in the recruiting process.
The 2019 three-star offensive lineman from Mentor High School in Ohio was only months removed from receiving his first scholarship offer and they were beginning to roll in from around the country.
That included one from Michigan State and, just a little more than a month after he received it, Samac decided he had seen enough and committed to the Spartans on Sunday.
"I felt that if I knew the decision was right, if I found the school for me, I didn't really see a point in trying to just drag it out just to get more offers," Samac said.
