Madison, Wis. — It looked like Michigan State was going to get out of Wisconsin with a win on Sunday, but in the end, a defense that has been struggling for the past week couldn’t get the stop it needed.
Ethan Happ scored on a layup with 10 seconds to play and Denzel Valentine’s 3-pointer hit off the back iron as Wisconsin defeated No. 4 Michigan State, 77-76, at the Kohl Center.
It was the second straight loss for Michigan State (16-3, 3-3 Big Ten), which got blown out at home by Iowa on Thursday.
