EAST LANSING – It was difficult for Brennan Sanford to stop smiling. It was like he was in a dream. And in this case, a great dream, and a dream come true.
Sanford grew up in the Lansing area, playing hockey, watching Michigan State at Munn Arena and dreaming of one day playing for the Spartans.
He realized that goal last month when he played in his first game for MSU as a freshman in the season opener in Maine. Then another big thrill came along two weeks ago when he played at Munn Arena for the first time in a regular-season game.
