MSU Women’s Cross Country Ranked No. 9 In First Coaches Poll

The Michigan State women’s cross country team was ranked No. 9 in the first coaches poll of the 2020 season.

The Spartan women last season won their seventh Big Ten title in program history, and their first one since 2014. It was also their fifth title in the last 10 seasons. The team entered the conference championship race ranked No. 9 in the nation and upset the No. 8 and No. 7 teams for the title. The team went on to win their regional meet in what was also their 19th straight NCAA appearance as a team.
