The Michigan State Spartans Women’s Basketball team finished the first week of the season in style. There is really no other way to put it for such a stellar, news filled opening week of action in the 2021-22 season. MSU moved to 3-0 on the season with wins over Morehead St, Niagara, and Valparaiso. In addition, head coach Suzy Merchant hit her 500th career win as a head coach, the early signing period for the 2022 class came and went with some notable additions, and freshman guard DeeDee Hagemann was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week.
