EAST LANSING, MI -- Michigan State University hosted its spring semester commencement ceremonies at the Breslin Student Events Center in East Lansing on Friday, May 4, 2018.
According to the school, there are 5,618 undergraduate degree candidates and 2,207 advanced degree candidates.
Wanda Herdon, the first senior vice president of global communications for Starbucks Coffee Co., delivered the commencement address and received an honorary doctorate of humanities.
"We are living in a challenging period of history, and our future world leaders are sitting in this stadium," she said.
"You will lead, and we will follow.
