Michigan State's WR injuries the worst during coach Terrence Samuel's career

EAST LANSING - Terrence Samuel is in his eighth season at Michigan State and has two decades of coaching experience.

The wide receivers coach admits this season stands out from the rest and not in a positive way. Samuel has never dealt with so many injuries.

"No," he said Wednesday afternoon. "No way, no way."

All three of Michigan State's starting receivers entering the season have been sidelined due to injury. That includes leading receiver Felton Davis, whose senior season came to an end last month due to a torn Achilles tendon. All eight receivers listed on the latest depth chart have either missed games or had to leave the field banged up.
