EAST LANSING — Tom Izzo knows his new boss. He doesn’t know if he’s the same as his old boss.
And Michigan State’s basketball coach is reserving judgement about interim athletic director Bill Beekman until he learns more about him.
“Well, I do know Bill Beekman, and I like Bill Beekman. I don’t know him as an (athletic director),” Izzo said Thursday after practice. “I barely know him as a boss, because even though his position there was something, I don’t know him that well.
