EAST LANSING — It was a year ago Monday that an ESPN reporter and TV camera chased Tom Izzo down the hallway to the locker room at Maryland, insistently demanding answers about her network’s report into eight-year-old allegations of sexual assault in his program.
That was part of a chain of events that sent Michigan State into turmoil for more than three months, which continued throughout the offseason until Izzo finally addressed things in October at Big Ten media day in Rosemont, Illinois.
