Michigan State's offense struggles, but finds way to beat Maryland, becomes bowl eligible

EAST LANSING — Two years’ worth of Michigan State football ineptitude on offense took over a near-empty Spartan Stadium one more time Saturday against Maryland.

All of the trappings of all of the failings over most of the last 25 games were there, condensed into one 60-minute window of one final regular season game in 2019 that dragged on with a bowl berth hanging in the balance for Mark Dantonio’s program.
