Michigan State's Matt McQuaid out vs. Louisville with thigh bruise

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- In the midst of its most hectic stretch of the early portion of the season, Michigan State is now down one of its starting perimeter players.

Spartans starting small forward Matt McQuaid will miss Michigan State's Tuesday night game at Louisville with a thigh bruise, Spartans coach Tom Izzo said on his pregame radio show.

Izzo said that McQuaid suffered the injury late in the Spartan's Friday game against Texas. Izzo described it as "a bad bruise that bled a little bit and swelled up."

The injury prevented McQuaid from practicing in the leadup to Tuesday's game and he didn't travel with the team to Louisville.
