The knee that had been bothering Michigan State forward Matt Costello should be a thing in the past now. He’ll be looking to start anew as a senior for the Spartans.
Michigan State announced that the 6-foot-9 forward, Costello, had successful surgery on the knee Tuesday and that he “will be out a couple of weeks before going back to full basketball activity.”
Matt Costello was mostly quiet about his knee troubles in the last few months of the regular season, but the Spartans coach Tom Izzo said in a press conference at the end of the season that the forward “had cartilage that needed to be cleaned up and dealt with.
