Michigan State University lifts most of its COVID-19 mandates — effective immediately

Michigan State University President Samuel L. Stanley followed closely behind the state of Michigan, as he repealed many of the on-campus COVID-19 mandates.

In a June 28 update letter to the public, President Stanley detailed out MSU’s new recalls, which are effective immediately:

  • Face masks are no longer required indoors, regardless of vaccination status
  • No limitations on any MSU building, venue, and service
  • Daily health screenings for employees, students, or others coming to campus are no longer required
  • The COVID-19 Early Detection Program is no longer mandatory for undergraduate students.
