Michigan State signee Lashawn Paulino-Bell reportedly was injured Monday in a jet ski accident while on a family vacation in the Bahamas.
Dejmi Dumervil Jean, a teammate at Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas, said Paulino-Bell is in stable condition after suffering internal injuries and being flown to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. There was no immediate word on the severity or extent of the injuries he suffered.
Paulino-Bell signed with the Spartans on Feb. 1 and was expected to potentially contribute this fall at defensive end. He was rated No. 33 at defensive end by ESPN.
