Mark Dantonio has been a head coach for 14 seasons - three at Cincinnati and the last 11 at Michigan State.
For each of Dantonio's 118 career victories, Harlon Barnett was his secondary coach. However, their run together ended in January when Barnett was hired as the new defensive coordinator at Florida State.
Barnett, who was also the Spartans' co-defensive coordinator the last three seasons, will be missed but there's reason for optimism for the secondary this year.
