Michigan State QB Rocky Lombardi now more comfortable running offense

After leading a touchdown drive, Rocky Lombardi returned to the field facing a two-point deficit and less than two minutes on the clock.

The redshirt freshman quarterback completed three of his next four throws before connecting with Darrell Stewart Jr. for a 19-yard touchdown to lift the offense to a win against the defense in Michigan State's spring game last month.

Lombardi acknowledged his adrenaline was pumping late in the spring game due to his first live passes in front of fans at Spartan Stadium with the outcome in doubt. But, he said the thought process was unchanged from his first throw of the game to his last.
