Michigan State notes: Tyler Hunt has torn ACL and Josiah Scott serves suspension

EAST LANSING - The slew of injuries Michigan State has encountered this year continued at an unlikely position.

Redshirt freshman walk-on punter Tyler Hunt is out for the season due to a knee injury sustained in practice this week.

"We lost our punter Tyler Hunt on Thursday in a non-contact deal," Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio said after Saturday's 23-13 win against Purdue. "He blew out his ACL, so he's done for the season."
