Michigan State moved both up and down in the latest national rankings.
Coming off a 31-20 win against Central Michigan on Saturday, the Spartans (3-1, 1-0 Big Ten) moved up one spot to No. 20 in the AP rankings and down one place to No. 19 in the Coaches Poll, both of which were released Sunday afternoon.
After trailing Central Michigan 3-0 at the end of the first quarter, Michigan State scored 31 straight points before being outscored 17-0 in the fourth quarter.

The Spartans are now done with nonconference play and will host Northwestern (1-3, 1-1) on Saturday (noon, FS1) for homecoming.
