According to the Oakland Golden Grizzlies’ official non-conference basketball schedule, Michigan State Men’s Basketball will play Oakland on December 21st at Little Caesars Arena, although MSU has not yet confirmed it.
This is the 10th straight meeting between the Grizzlies and the Spartans. The first meeting between these two programs was played on November 17th, 1998 at Oakland where MSU won 98 to 66. Notably, in December of 2015 the Grizzlies held their own against the Spartans and took the game into overtime, but the Spartans were able to step away with a win of 99 to 93.
