EAST LANSING — A bunch of things are going on around Michigan State sports during the early summer dead period that will have an impact beyond the upcoming school year.
There is a new president on campus, one who has not worked at or attended a Power 5 conference university before.
Tom Izzo landed Marquette redshirt freshman forward Joey Hauser to complete his basketball roster, and the Spartans continue to be talked about as the preseason No. 1 team by a number of outlets despite Hauser having to sit out due to NCAA transfer rules.
