EAST LANSING -- There was no anger when Tom Izzo watched the film of Michigan State's season-opening loss to Kansas back at the Breslin Center this week.
The emotion was more confusion than anger.
"I wasn't disappointed, I was amazed, like 'What are we doing?'" Izzo said after Thursday's practice. "But new roles, new positions, new players that have to step up in different ways."
The Spartans started their season with a five-point loss in a highly anticipated season-opener against No. 1 Kansas on Tuesday.
