EAST LANSING — Throughout Matt Coghlin’s struggles this season, coach Mark Dantonio continued to reaffirm his status as Michigan State’s kicker.
The junior delivered the winner and a career-tying performance in Saturday’s 19-16 win over Maryland.
Coghlin connected on 4 of 5 field-goal attempts, including a 33-yarder with 2:14 to play that got MSU bowl eligible for the 12th time in Dantonio’s 13-year career.
