Spartan fans endured a tough Saturday as the men’s basketball team lost by one point at Indiana hurting their chances of a Big Ten regular season title. The Michigan State baseball team came close to beating No. 24 Arizona State in Tempe, Arizona but lost in extra innings to the Sun Devils.
However, the Michigan State hockey team won a game that it shouldn’t have won — looking at underdog status beforehand. They upset a top-10 team on the road on their senior night, helping them build momentum going into the Big Ten Tournament. Even though the Spartans ended the regular season a disappointing 12-17-5 overall, they have beaten some more talented and highly-ranked teams.
