Michigan State has blueprint to slow Utah State's hurry-up offense

EAST LANSING — Mike Tressel liked what Michigan State football did against Washington State. The new defensive coordinator even hinted that he wants to keep a structural realignment tweak that worked against the Cougars’ pass-happy, high-tempo offense.

Perhaps Utah State’s similar style has a lot to do with why the 12th-ranked Spartans might keep some of that 3-4 defense in the playbook.
