After missing the season opener against Western Michigan, Michigan State football fans were hoping to get starting safety Nikai Martinez back for the massive Boston College battle in Week 2.
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like that'll be the case.
According to Pete Thamel, Michigan State is going to be without Martinez on Saturday, marking the second straight missed game with an undisclosed injury. He started all 12 games last year and was the defense's leading snap-getter.
