EAST LANSING — Brad Salem fielded one question after another about another anemic performance by Michigan State’s offense on Tuesday night, and his answers echoed what coach Mark Dantonio had said earlier in the day.

“You can’t panic,” said Salem, the first-year MSU coordinator.

Over his shoulder, Brian Lewerke threw one passing route after another to Cody White, with his backup quarterback Rocky Lombardi servings as the de facto defensive back in coverage.
