Michigan State football commit Chuck Brantley thought he had everything planned out, but it had nothing to do with the Spartans.
He was ready to pledge his future to Florida State before receiving the news that defensive coordinator Harlon Barnett wouldn't be retained by new coach Mike Norvell in the staff turnover.
"We built a bond that nobody’s going to be able to break," Brantley said.
