Michigan State football suffers worst loss to Michigan in Dantonio era, 44-10

Michigan State football shot itself in the foot late a week ago.

The Spartans did it repeatedly and throughout Saturday's game against No. 14 Michigan. And their last chance to get one memorable win out of this season vanished with every penalty, missed tackle, blown coverage and poor coaching decision.

The Wolverines were sharks to blood, and things went from bad to worse for MSU in a 44-10 loss at Michigan Stadium.

It was their fifth straight defeat, their fourth non-competitive performance to a ranked opponent in that stretch. And if the largest margin of defeat of Mark Dantonio’s tenure against U-M wasn’t bad enough, things turned from bad into worse.
