With all of questions of who will play quarterback and replace departing veterans on defense, Michigan State football coach Mel Tucker has another important hole to fill by fall: punter.
Count Jack Bouwmeester out of that mix.
The rugby-style Australian is no longer on the Spartans' roster after one season, a program spokesman confirmed Tuesday. The 6-foot-2, 193-pound Bouwmeester was a 2019 recruit and part of Mark Dantonio’s final class and did not play last season.
