Michigan State football remembers Western Michigan well from 2017. So do the Broncos

EAST LANSING — Michigan State football’s defense got its dominance back two years ago.

Its recent reign began with two impressive performances to open the 2017 season, one of them coming against Western Michigan, a 28-14 victory.

And a lot of the players who are veterans of the Spartans’ defense this year were up-and-coming youngsters then.

Just like quarterback Jon Wassink and running back LeVante Bellamy were for the Broncos.
