Michigan State football recruiting: LB Cal Haladay commits for class of 2020

Michigan State football continues to build its class of 2020.

On Monday, Catawissa (Pa.) Southern Columbia linebacker Cal Haladay announced on Twitter his intention to play football for MSU.

The 6-foot, 197-pounder was reportedly offered by MSU in late May and visited the East Lansing campus in early June, according to 247Sports. Haladay chose the Spartans over offers from Michigan, Nebraska and Pittsburgh, among others, according to the report.

Haladay is not ranked in the 247Sports Composite rankings but Rivals.com rates him as the eighth-best player in Pennsylvania.

He becomes the seventh verbal commit for MSU for 2020 and the third defensive player, joining safety Darius Snow and defensive end Kyle King.
