Michigan State football recruiting: 2021 TE Jake Renda ditches Spartans for Pittsburgh

Amid all the chaos within college football on Monday, there's always time to talk recruiting.

Michigan State football commit Jake Renda, a three-star tight end from Trenton, New Jersey, in the class of 2021, has decommitted from MSU and committed to Pittsburgh.

Renda, who is scheduled to play his senior season at IMG Academy in Florida, quoted Andrew Carnegie and said "Pittsburgh entered the core of my heart when I was a boy and cannot be torn out."

instead of joining MSU, Renda has committed to former MSU defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi, the Panthers' head coach, and Tim Salem, the brother of MSU's former offensive coordinator Brad Salem.
