Michigan State's football season is still three months away, but the groundwork is being placed to allow fans to return this fall.
Athletic director Bill Beekman hopes for 20%–30% capacity in Spartan Stadium, which holds 75,000 fans, he said in a video conference Thursday.
"National facility groups that have looked at this across college and pro football stadiums, the ranges have been between the capacity of 17% on the low end to as much as 35% on the high," Beekman said.
