Michigan State football lands UTEP graduate transfer punter Mitchell Crawford

Turns out Michigan State football will have an Australian punter on its roster after all.

Mitchell Crawford announced via Twitter in early March that he would join the Spartans on scholarship. The former UTEP punter told Rivals.com he would be a graduate transfer with immediate eligibility.

The 6-foot, 185-pound Crawford, a Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection in 2019, was a two-year starter for the Miners. He averaged 39.6 yards on 61 punts last season, landing 13 inside the 20-yard line and having a season-long 61-yarder among his nine punts of 50-or-more yards. Crawford was an All-Conference USA Honorable Mention in 2018 after averaging 39.
