It started with a somewhat cryptic tweet stating that he had big news to announce and it ended with three-star wide receiver Ian Stewart committing to Michigan State on Saturday night.
Earlier in the week, Stewart tweeted that he was going to be making a big announcement on Saturday and that led to plenty of speculation. The Spartans weren’t heavily favored on the ever-popular 247Sports Crystal Ball, but things changed quickly. Within days, Michigan State became the favorite and everything pointed to the Spartans landing him, and they did.
The Gibraltar (Mich.) Carlson wide out announced that he would be joining the Spartans’ 2020 class along with Tommy Guajardo, Darius Snow and Dallas Fincher — and he may soon be finding out who his quarterback will be.
