In the process of filling out his coaching staff, Mel Tucker has been hard at work trying to piece together the ideal group of guys to lead Michigan State football in 2020 and beyond.
It all started with the retainment of Mike Tressel and Ron Burton and then the official hire of offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic. There have also been rumors circulating about Harlon Barnett, potentially Steve Clinkscale and Courtney Hawkins, but Jay Johnson has been all but confirmed as the Spartans’ next offensive coordinator.
After spending a couple of years as the offensive analyst for quality control at Georgia, Tucker brought him to Boulder to be the offensive coordinator at Colorado.
